It’s no secret that Hyundai is known for bold designs. The manufacturer’s 2021 Hyundai Elantra compact sedan is the latest to have undergone a makeover to achieve this attractive look.
In the case of the Elantra, the manufacturer opted for a full redesign, with a modern style for both the interior and the exterior and more advanced technological features. And there’s more great news! For the first time, Hyundai will also offer a hybrid version of the Elantra, aiming for a combined EPA of 50 mpg or more with this powertrain. A high-performance N Line variant will also join the 2021 Elantra lineup.
The standard non-hybrid powertrain is a holdover from the previous generation. The 2021 Elantra will be powered by a 4-cylinder 147-horsepower engine. Front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission are the only options here. The hybrid model will feature a 1.6 L 4-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor to produce 139 horsepower. And gear changes will be managed by a six-speed automatic transmission.
But the most exciting 2021 Hyundai Elantra is, without a doubt, the performance-focused N Line model. We can hardly wait to fire up the 1.6 L 4-cylinder turbo engine!
Like the radically restyled exterior, the passenger compartment of the Hyundai Elantra also received a bold update for 2021. The dashboard and center console wrap around the driver, while the passenger side adopts a more minimalist approach. A single LED panel runs alongside the vent that covers the dashboard across the full width of the car, from the steering column to the passenger-side door panel. We can hardly wait to climb aboard!
